Privacy Policy
Pomegranate × Lily · Updated October 13, 2026
Freedom Arkives is a public website for articles, books, historical research and publishing tools. This policy describes the current website implementation, rather than promising no data is ever processed.
Site hosting
Our website is served through GitHub Pages. Hosting providers may process technical connection information including IP address, request date, and browser details as needed to deliver pages, protect the service and maintain logs. This happens even if you reject optional features.
Optional third-party resources
Some article preview images are delivered through Medium's image CDN, and optional web fonts are served through Google Fonts. These external downloads are disabled until you choose to allow optional external resources. If enabled, the providers receive ordinary connection information. Clicking a link to Medium, Amazon, Linktree or another external website takes you to that provider, where its own privacy policy applies.
Shared-hostname storage limitation
Freedom Arkives currently shares pomegranatexlily.github.io with Python Atelier and other projects. Browser local storage belongs to the entire hostname; URL paths alone do not isolate it. Scripts running on this hostname may technically access another project's browser storage. Avoid recording passwords or highly sensitive personal details in Workshop drafts. We recommend separate origins before introducing accounts or sensitive services.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We do not currently run Google Analytics, advertising pixels, third-party behavioral profiling, or optional analytics scripts. We store a small preference record in your browser's local storage to remember your choice. Rejecting optional resources does not block the public content. Any future optional tracking must require a fresh consent decision before being activated.
Workshop tools and local storage
Some interactive tools within the Workshop may save drafts or preferences in your browser to support their basic function. Those local records are not uploaded to a Freedom Arkives application server by the present website code. Clearing your browser's site storage can erase locally saved work. Export important work first.
Offline reading and browser cache
After you choose your privacy preferences, a same-site service worker may keep copies of Freedom Arkives pages and first-party assets on your device so previously visited content can remain readable without a connection. When online, it checks the network first for HTML pages, including the regularly updated article catalog. First-party image and script assets may be served from the device cache until that cache is updated. The service worker does not cache third-party Medium thumbnails or Google Fonts, and it is limited to the Freedom Arkives site path. You can remove offline copies through your browser's website storage controls. Offline reading does not guarantee that externally hosted articles will be available without a connection.
Your choices
Select Reject optional, Accept all, or Manage choices when the notice appears. You can reopen your choices using the Settings button in the site navigation or Workshop header. If storage is unavailable, the choice may last only during the current visit. You can also clear stored site data using browser settings.
Contact
For general, non-sensitive questions, use the public GitHub issue forms. Everything posted there can be viewed by anyone. Never include passwords, contact details, private documents, or requests involving your personal information.
Private privacy requests: a confidential business contact channel has not yet been configured. GitHub issues are not a safe substitute. The maintainer must establish a verified private contact address or request portal before inviting sensitive requests. See the security reporting guidance for vulnerability disclosures.
